The Cornbrash Formation is a Middle Jurassic geological formation in England and ranges in age from Bathonian to Callovian, the uppermost part of the Middle Jurassic. Dinosaur remains are among the fossils that have been recovered from the formation. Shorncote Quarry is located in the Cotswold Water Park a few miles south of Cirencester and has state-of-the-art facilities for the production of aggregates and ready-mixed concrete. The quarry produces a high quality washed sand, and gravel plus various grades of crushed rock.
